Hills Creek Mugs
Description: Originally a Nestucca Indian fishing village called Woods, Neskowin, as it became known, was abandoned before settlers discovered its shores. It was a recreation site as early as 1876 and it wasn't settled until 1886. The creek, named Hawk Creek, gently winds down the hillside eventually meeting with Proposal Rock and the Pacific Ocean. The neighborhood located in Hawk Creek Hills is one of Neskowin's hidden treasures that stretches up the hillside overlooking Proposal Rock. The Hawk, which is often seen in Neskowin is inspired in the coastal Native American forms seen throughout the region.
