Trimurti is composed of the three main gods of Hinduism: Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, who respectively symbolize creation, conservation and destruction. The concept of Trimurti developed at the time of the so-called Puranic period. His head wanders in the sky, while chasing Surya and Candra, in retaliation for his complaint to Vishnu, thus creating an eclipse. He is believed to be the cause of the eclipse.
