Jaroslav Hasek Mugs

Description: The Good Soldier Švejk by Jaroslav Hašek is the most translated novel of Czech literature. Considering that Czheks gave us such great writers as Milan Kundera or Josef Škvorecký, this is a significant achievement. A simple-minded soldier Švejk is so enthusiastic about serving the Austro-Hungarian Empire that you cannot be sure if he is committing a diversion. The book's appeal is in its typically Czech humor, known to be light but deep.
