Parallel Mugs
Description: Simone Weil quote: There is a reality outside the world, that is to say, outside space and time, outside man's mental universe, outside any sphere whatsoever that is accessible to human faculties. Corresponding to this reality, at the centre of the human heart, is the longing for an absolute good, a longing which is always there and is never appeased by any object in this world.
Description: The illusion of infinite responsibility can become heavier than the world itself. Resonance → Niche → Love → The Divine → One Light → Dimensions → Connections→ Infinity Within Infinity Some experiences do not simply change what we believe; they transform the way reality itself appears This collection explores the human search for hidden meaning, unseen connections, and the quiet patterns that seem to unite everything. It is not about proving that such patterns exist, but about the extraordinary ways the mind can experience the world while trying to understand it.

Description: Inspired by the Man in the High Castle, a symbol of resistance against the Kempeitai and the Japanese Occupation of the West Coast of the USA. I've made a few other works inspired by MitHC. This one is a reimagining of graffiti spotted throughout San Francisco, and probably the rest of the Japanese Pacific States. The sinister silhouette of a man wearing a black fedora is seemingly vandalized by a red symbol. Who is the shadowy figure? Is it an allegorical kempeitai officer? Is it the Man in the High Castle himself?

Description: Another flag mashup, this one was inspired by a good friend of mine, who grew up in Albuquerque but spent years and years living in (and working for) Chicago. Personally, I have never been to NewMexico, but have fond memories of the Windy City, the shorefront of Lake Michigan, St Patrick's day parade, the views from (then) Sears Tower. I will go to New Mexico one day. In the meantime, here's a take of what might have happened if Chicago had been located somewhat closer to Santa Fe than to the Great Lakes.
