Parliament Building Mugs
Description: This is an image of the Hungarian parliament building, the Orszaghaz, from the southeast, a grand gothic revival style building, completed in the early 1900s.. We were on a walking tour of Budapest, which took us past this extraordinary place. I had seen it before, way back in 1972, on a very dismal day, looking at it from across the Danube, so it was a delight to see it on such a clear day. We had hoped to go inside, but alas, tickets were sold out during the period we were there. Maybe next time. That all aside, the building is quite remarkable. Its wonderful white façade, topped-off with the red roof and dome, made it quite something to behold.
