Description: Jennings Performance started out as a small speed shop, primarily distributing go fast parts from manufacturers across the country from a small storefront in Lockwood, Montana. They eventually moved into a shop space where they started doing installs, and as the story goes, it only took a few years before they had a complete machine shop and were customizing off the rack parts and making totally custom parts of their own design. Probably their biggest claim to fame was their house designed Roots-type superchargers, of which only about 200 were made during the 20 or so years that they were in business. Hurst wheels, Line/Loc, and Swifter Shifter gloves were developed among other items, and later, Airheart Brakes and the Schiefer Manufacturing Company, which made clutches and other driveline components, were acquired. Hurst Performance floor-shifters were skillfully engineered, reliable and stirring in appearance, plus, their marketing was in tune with the times, catering to the flourishing muscle car movement of the 1960s.
