Description: Spitfire Mk.IX, 5J-K, Pilot Johnny Plagis. Johnny Plagis took command of No. 126 (Cat Gulf) Squadron in June 1944. He chose 5J-K because of the large letter “K” on its tail after his sister ‘Kay’ (Katrina) which was also painted on the port side. This is one of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight spitfires MK356, an LF IXe, representing Johnny Plagis' aircraft which was LM214 and an LF IXc.

Description: The Supermarine Seafire was a naval version of the Spitfire adapted for operation from aircraft carriers. Seafire MkXVII VL105 SX336 was built in 1946 by Westland Aircraft,Yeovil and served until 1954. It was sold for scrap and in 1973 purchased for restoration, returning to flight in 2006.
