Reprise Mugs
Description: Reprise Records was formed in 1960 by Frank Sinatra in order to allow more artistic freedom for his own recordings. Soon thereafter, he garnered the nickname "The Chairman of the Board". Because of dissatisfaction with Capitol Records, and after trying to buy Norman Granz's Verve Records, the first album Sinatra released on Reprise was Ring-a-Ding-Ding! As CEO of Reprise, Sinatra recruited several artists for the fledgling label, such as fellow Rat Pack members Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr.
Description: Released in 1988, Wonderful marked the tenth studio album by the legendary King of Punk-Funk, Rick James, and his debut release under Reprise Records. Driven by his signature flamboyant style, James handled writing, production, and instrumentation, blending synthesizer-heavy R&B, soul, and dance grooves. The standout commercial peak of the project was the smash hit "Loosey's Rap," a high-energy collaboration featuring hip-hop pioneer Roxanne Shanté that climbed to the top of the US R&B charts. Featuring classic mid-tempo ballads and party anthems like "So Tight," Wonderful captured the enduring swagger of a true funk innovator.
Description: Before Jack Lemmon & Tony Curtis in “Some Like It Hot” & Robin Williams in “Mrs Doubtfire” on cross dressing, these two were the early ones in this scene from a famous musical film. Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye lip sync and cross dress on the song, “Sisters” before departure to Vermont. Once you see them perform, they won’t be a pair called the Blue Peacock Sisters.....
