Rolling Acres mall opened in Akron, Ohio with Sears and 21 stores on August 6, 1975. JCPenney opened a year later as a second anchor. A new wing was added in 1977, including a third anchor store, Montgomery Ward. Further expansion in 1978 added a new, two-story wing called the Promenade, which included a food court called “Prom-N-Eat” (later renamed “Picnic Place”) and local chain O’Neil’s as a fourth anchor. The mall was foreclosed in June 2016. As of October 2016, demolition of the mall had begun with full demolition on the property expected to be complete by October 2017.

As a local mainstay in Brockton, MA for over 30 years, The Pub was well-known for serving Lebanese selections such as tabouli, hummus & baba ghanoush. Open for almost 30 years, and formerly located on 38 Centre St. in Brockton, owners Joe and Deb Sawaya closed the establishment in 2010, leaving many memories behind for its former patrons.

Founded & owned by Morris Levy (owner of New York's Birdland Jazz Club), Strawberries had a major retail presence in New England, offering a large variety of music & video offerings.

This one goes out to all my fellow essential retail workers. The grocery and super store associates that qualify as an essential business, who are unable to shut down during this time. The world would stop turning without us minimum wage grunts. Of course health workers truly deserve our support during this time and the world really would end without them thank you so much!
