Description: I don’t remember a lot of what I learned in school, but I do remember the importance of checks and balances in the United States government. The people who set up our government did it so one branch of government (mostly the executive branch) wouldn’t end up with too much power, therefore undermining our democracy. WELL, it’s not working right now. The legislative and judicial branches are not holding the executive branch in check. That’s bad.
Description: I'm very grateful that I live in a democracy. I am glad that there are laws that are more powerful than our leaders. I am thankful for the checks and balances in our different branches of government. Available only in purple as a call to Democrats and Republicans to work together for the progress of our nation.
