Scanners Mugs
Description: was one of Cronenberg's early films that i did not have the chance to watch. On a recommendation by @mstanya88 i have watched it and it took a little bit time to sink in. It started with a premise more like "dangeorus mutants" kind of movie and lead to more of a "science gone wrong" theme we are familliar with. I really enjoyed this violent and gory take on telepathy. Telepathy is often pictured very clean and plain. Here its a matter of your "scanning" power to make someone go mad or make their whole head explode. And that head explosion gonna stick with me for a while. Loved every use of prosthetics l effects here. Only the final scene makes it worth giving the movie a chance. Illustration by Halil Karasu
