Sistine Chapel Mugs
Description: A fine example of Italian Renaissance painter Michelangelo's skill in realism on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel depicting God's creation of humans. Man takes the form of Adam, as he reaches out and touches him, making him mortal by his divine, immortal touch. - creation, adam, michelangelo, sistine, chapel, chapel ceiling, vatican, vatican church, vatican chapel, city, rome, the creation of adam, sistine chapel, renaissance, italy, italian, italian art, italian painter, renaissance art, renaissance artist, italian artist, vatican city, the vatican, roman, roman art, adam and eve, god makes man, god makes adam, god touches adam, ceiling paint, painted ceiling, church, church ceiling, realism, realistic art, renaissance painter, mortal, m
Description: A portion of the ceiling in the Sistine Chaple. No photos allowed....flash photography will damage the frescos. It did not deter the many tourist who ingored the plea of the vatican guards. I took mine using available light and the high ISO of this great camera. For my sins.....mea culpa, mea culpa. Description: A study of the art of Michelangelo Buonarroti, the famous artist of the Renaissance. He is known for "The Pieta," "The David," and "The Sistine Chapel." This work is studied from the latter work. The original artwork is done by Cristian S. Aluas and it's mixed media on paper. Enjoy!
Description: Michelangelo might have painted the ceiling, but he brings the rock and roll. Witness the true 'Creation of Adam'—featuring the guitar-shredding, rib-eating, self-proclaimed original features of the First Man himself. This design masterfully blends the classical texture of the Sistine Chapel fresco with the chaotic energy of Hell’s favorite Exorcist. It’s historical, it’s blasphemous, and it’s perfectly on-brand for the leader of the angelic army. Hang this in your personal museum (or just wear it on a t-shirt).
Description: I sampled the famous scene from Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling mural where God is creating Adam, and inserted a beer into God’s hand. I call this painting God’s Gift. Limited-edition, signed art prints of this painting are for sale at my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/listing/231015421 Read my blog post about this painting here: https://realartisbetter.wordpress.com/2015/04/23/thirsty-thursday-beer-painting-17-april-23-2015/
Description: Experience a powerful reimagining of Michelangelo's masterpiece where the sacred touch brings about a world-changing transformation. In The Sacred Touch (Peace Over War), the iconic connection between Adam and the Divine serves as a catalyst for peace: a crimson sky heavy with the machinery of war dissolves into a tranquil blue horizon teeming with butterflies. This design is a bold visual statement on the triumph of humanity over cruelty and the enduring power of peace over war. Perfect for activists, art lovers, and those who believe in a more beautiful future.
Description: And then, God said: "Let there be hops!" This hilarious graphic tee is a divine parody of Michelangelo’s famous "The Creation of Adam" fresco, reimagined for the ultimate craft beer disciple. Instead of a cosmic spark, the hand of God is dropping a perfect green hop cone into a refreshing, ice-cold glass of IPA. It’s a witty, artistic, and deeply relatable statement piece for anyone who treats their local microbrewery like a holy temple. Perfect for art history geeks, homebrewers, and certified hopheads who know that a good brew is nothing short of a miracle.
