Tide Mugs

I was watching the tide from the Port Noarlunga jetty, South Australia being mesmerised by the colours in the water flowing onto the sand. I captured several photos and created "Mesmerising Tide' oil painting on canvas from one of the reference photos .

St Mary's Lighthouse and island lie north of the River Tyne and Whitley Bay on the North Sea coast of England. The lighthouse is no longer in operation and is now a museum and tourist attraction which is only accessible at low tide when the causeway is not under water. The image was taken at High Tide on a very cold December morning shortly after sunrise with a small flock of sanderlings feeding at the water's edge on a small bit of exposed sand.

If you ever get the chance to walk along the Gulf shores in Florida as the sun is going down, you are very likely to see a Great Blue Heron or two swooping down to patrol the tide and look for their supper. Edited in Photoshop CC and Topaz Clarity.

This image was captured on a bright morning in November under a blue sky which reflected on the calm waters of the Seaton Burn as it flowed into the North Sea under blue sky with a scattering of white clouds.

During an evening walk on a clay beach, the sun set on a low tide shoreline that not only revealed the typical innumerable stones and seaweed but debris from the ruins of the World War II pillboxes that collapsed from the ongoing coastline erosion. A beautiful setting with plenty of history. LOCATION: Warden Point is on the northeast shore of the Isle of Sheppey, next to the more beautiful and popular Leysdown Beach. The Isle of Sheppey is an island off the northern coast of Kent, the Garden of England, and is part of the local government district of Swale. Warden Point is one of the most popular sites for collecting London Clay fossils in the United Kingdom.

Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.
