Description: HOLDEN TORANA SL/R 5000 Holden’s V8-engined Torana came to be at a time when parts of the world were turning their back on fuel-guzzling cars. Parts of the world excluding Australia anyway. What the SL/R 5000 had on its side was swagger. The SLR was an emblem of the cashed-up bogan; brash and loud with the looks and aerodynamics of a Besser (concrete) block.
