Description: The Duluth, Missabe and Iron Range Railway (DM&IR), informally known as the Missabe Road, is a railroad operating in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin that hauls iron ore and later taconite to the Great Lakes ports of Duluth and Two Harbors, Minnesota. Control of the railway was acquired on May 10, 2004, by the Canadian National Railway (CN) when it purchased the assets of Great Lakes Transportation.
Description: The North Shore is one of our most iconic places in Minnesota. Growing up we took many trips north for hiking, camping, and agate hunting. The shore always felt like we were standing on the edge of a fresh water sea. The islands tempted us to walk or swim out and explore them. This is one of many pieces we will make to try and capture the beauty and the spirit of the North Shore.
