Description: The Charleston Rockets were a professional American football team based in Charleston, West Virginia. They began play in 1964 as a member of the United Football League, and became a charter franchise in the Continental Football League in 1965. In their first season in the COFL, the Rockets finished with a perfect 14-0 record and won the league championship over the Toronto Rifles, 24-7. After an ownership change in 1968, the team announced that it was suspending operations in January 1969.

Description: Sourced from a souvenir t-shirt dated 1982, this beauty comes all the way from Dickerson, Maryland. In operation since 1786, White's Ferry is the last working ferry on the Potomac River. The ferry is and has been a widely used means of crossing the river (and a shortcut) between Maryland and Virginia since its inception. Located off Rt. 15, just north of Leesburg at the White's Ferry Road intersection, commuters today use the ferry daily, where 24 vehicles can be transported at a time.

The Virginia were founded as the result of the Nashville South Stars relocating in December 1983, halfway into the 1982–83 season of the ACHL. They would continue to play in the ACHL from 1983 until 1987. Prior to the 1990–1991 season, the name was changed to the Roanoke Valley Rebels.
