Here's the type of scene that always gets me rushing to grab my sketchbook. Unfortunately when we spotted this one, when hiking in Spain, I didn't have time. Then just the other day I got to paint it as an online demo with folks around the world. Sharing the joy of painting it with others was just as good as being able to paint it onsite ;-)

This full moon monochrome print is an art interpretation of our closest celestial body. Always had a fascination with the moon and love it most when its full. I had a lot of fun creating a high contrast design in black and white.

Watercolour From references I took of Burn Braes in Biggar, Lanarkshire. I really loved the wonky fence and the fact that the roof slates were falling off the roof. The roof has long since been repaired (as has the fence).

A glorious yellow sunflower turns it's face to the sun. The original painting measures 22" x 16" and is painted with watercolours on 300gsm Fabriano Artistico extra white, cold pressed watercolour paper.

The original is a very loose and colourful painting in Holbein gouache. Inspired by the psychedelic colours of the sixties and seventies and Japanese paper parasols.

This fabulous iris is in my pond and I look forward to its appearance every year. I went a bit mad with colour in the background but I think it works really well! Watercolours on Artistico extra white CP, the original work measures 13" x 10".
