Zentangle Mugs

The name “Zentangle” was formulated by Rick Roberts, a former monk and Maria Thomas, a very well qualified calligrapher, an illuminast, artist and designer. Zentangle art is easy to learn, relaxing and a fun way to create beautiful images by drawing lots of different structured patterns. The patterns are called tangles and consist out of combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, s-curves and orbs. These simple shapes are the "elemental strokes" and the patterns are drawn on small pieces of paper called "tiles." The tiles can be assemble into mosaics which makes this art even more stunning to look at. This particular design were modified into colour with software, to create colour zentangle artwork.

Orange Orandas is an artsy Illustration that ended up a design. I love doing inked intensive designs like the background on this one. The brightly colored Orandas really pop against the background. I love drawing fish!

Reverse Rainbow Zentangle Elephant This little elephant started off as a regular black and white digital ink zentangle drawing. I then thought he would look wonderful as a colorful rainbow color so I took the original drawing and added a rainbow color to him. I also added digital water color splatter paint for a fun whimsical look. I have also altered this drawing as a Rainbow elephant on a white background as well as a blue and gold oil color simulation. This painting was done digitally on an iPad Air 2 using the app ProCreate. I also do custom commissions.
