Dipping your face into the Sligachan River is said, in myth, to give you everlasting beauty. That may or may not be the case -- you'll have to ask the few people on my tour who were game enough to put their head in the ice cold waters -- but the river itself certainly has its own everlasting beauty!

I took this shot from the Griffith Observatory where parts of the James Dean movie "A Rebel Without A Cause" was filmed. This place was amazing because it had an awesome view of the city as you can see here. This is an HDR that was taken with -2, 0, +2 exposures and combined in photomatix. I masked through the original pictures to get the look i wanted. I then took the photo to CS5 where i did further editing with OnOne software and nik effex.

I don't know if there are many things more relaxing than watching the sun slowly dip down into the ocean along a gorgeous stretch of coast like this one.
