Beaulieu T-Shirts

Most visitors to Beaulieu in the New Forest will be heading for the motor museum at the stately home, or perhaps the pretty little village, but this view comes from just outside. The building is a gate house to the stately home, and the grass a swathe of grazing that sits before a tidal stretch of the river. There are often donkeys grazing here, despite the (omitted) road that cuts across the scene.

Beaulieu Palace House in The New Forest, UK.

Boats moored on the Beaulieu River near the coast of Hampshire. The river starts its life not far from here near Lyndhurst in the New Forest. It flows for a somewhat short distance to the sea passing through the village of Beaulieu from which it takes its name. A little further on it passes the hamlet of Bucklers Hard before meeting the sea on the Solent. At Bucklers Hard, not far from here, mighty wooden battleships were built, incluiding Nelson's favourite, the 'Agamemnon'.

Palace House, Beaulieu Number of views as of 18th July 2018 = 1290. Palace House in the village of Beaulieu (New Forest, Hampshire, England) dates from the 13th century and was originally the Great Gatehouse of Beaulieu Abbey. It has been home to the Montagu family since 1538, when it was purchased from the Crown following the dissolution of the monasteries. The grounds of the Beaulieu estate also include the ruins of the Cistercian Abbey and the National Motor Museum. Date: 25th March 2012.

Aston Martin DB5 Number of views as of 11th March 2018 = 7050. The iconic Aston Martin DB5, launched in 1963. BMT216A was the car which starred in the James Bond films 'Goldfinger' and 'Thunderball'. Seen here at the UK's National Motor Museum at Beaulieu in Hampshire as part of a special exhibition of Bond vehicles. Date: 25th March 2012. This painting is a view of a favourite spot around Shatterford Bottom in the New Forest (Hampshire, England). Its round about early October, when the birches have lost most of their leaves and the bog myrtle changes to shades of bronze and gold. The grass is neatly cropped by the ponies that roam the forest. The water is peaty and very dark, giving the reflection of the sky this deep blue colour. Such a beautiful spot I love to visit again and again. You'll find it on the walk from Beaulieu Rd station to Brockenhurst. Painted in oil on a 20x16 inch board, based on my original photos of the location.
