Broadleaf T-Shirts

For quite some time I have wanted to capture the large trees heavily swaying in the very strong coastal winds along the Seiont... I don't think I could have picked a windier day! Working with very fast glass, and stopped down I created this image. Think the shutter speed was something like 1/2 a second as there was pretty strong movement in the trees... We are so lucky to have them. In aid of stronger coastal defences, the British Government would do well to plant more established broadleaf trees, so that we have better resilience in the future to buffer and act as "wind jammers"

A foggy fall day before the rains at Vogel State Park. Vogel State Park is a popular outdoor recreation area located in Blairsville, Georgia, in the United States. The park covers an area of 233 acres and includes a lake, hiking trails, camping facilities, and other amenities for visitors to enjoy. The park is named after Fred Vogel, who was the first superintendent of Georgia's state parks system. Vogel State Park was established in the 1930s as part of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) program, which was a New Deal initiative that provided jobs for unemployed young men during the Great Depression.
