Peanut - A Sweet Cat Portrait in colored pencil and watercolor pencil, by Conni Schaftenaar Did this to be a Christmas gift to a friend from a photo she had taken of her cat, Peanut. Image used with permission, gave it to her today and discovered that it was not a horizontal photo image (the way it arrived to me), but rather a vertical image - the cat sitting on the window sill, rubbing her face while looking at her mom taking her photo - really made me laugh, and I decided to post the vertical version with its story, also. This is a combination of Prismacolor colored pencil and Raffiné watercolor pencil - I was trying to get the background area in the upper left to be fairly abstract, and it just wasn't working in colored pencil. ...
