Late Winter Over Lake Huron Phone Case

It was a late winter day as I overlooked Lake Huron from the cliff at Pioneer Park, in Bayfield, Ontario. The Sun was shining, but there was snow forecast for later in the day. The ice, pushed ashore by the wind, stretched as far as the eye could see. The accumulation of ice on the ends of piers was piled high, the result of early winter storms when the spray would freeze and remain through the winter. But, spring would soon be here and the lake would again be transformed into its more obviously watery self.
