Aged Paint, Deep Blue Sky Phone Case

This is an image of the upper floors of an apartment building in Rome. It looked as if it had seen better days as it certainly needed a paint job. But that said, that aged paintwork had a beauty of its own and the building surely would have had some class in its day. I had just been to see the Trevi Fountain, but while the fountain is a masterpiece, truly wonderful architecture abounds in Rome. I was really taken with the with the patchwork of ochre and yellow-coloured walls, and the stonework, with the deep blue of the sky. It was getting late in the day with the golden hour setting in, so the building was bathed in golden light as contrasted with the blue toned shaded areas of the building.
