Catedral de Nuestra Senora de la Asuncian, Santiago de Cuba Phone Case

Catedral Phone Case

designed and sold by  bulljup

The first capital of Cuba is currently the second most important city in the country. It was founded in 1515 by Diego Velázquez de Cuéllar and Hernán Cortés was its first mayor. In Santiago de Cuba a prestigious construction is the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption. It is located next to Céspedes Park in the Cuban city. The first cathedral that was held in the city was in 1526, although it did not last long because of a fire and because it was made with guano. Later a new stone cathedral was carried out, ending it in 1555. During the following decades it suffered attacks from the French, who eliminated the roof and plundered it several times.
