Description: "Dyno" Don Nicholson earned his nickname while working at the big Pasadena Chebby dealer, using the dynamometer to tune customer cars. He repeated that feat in '62, by which time he had been lured to Atlanta to work his tuning magic for Nalley Chebby. Nalley would not ony sponsor his Bel Air, but also set him up with his own dedicated tuning garage, calling it the Nalley-Nicholson Dyno Shop.
Description: Founded in 1899, Buick has long been considered the oldest luxury carmaker in the United States and specialized in conservative design that was far less ostentatious than other luxury makes. In 1899, the engineer began making cars, but despite creating some truly luxurious vehicles early on, auto manufacturing wasn't as profitable as he had hoped. Buick brought William C. Durant in as Buick's general manager and major investor and despite having no dedicated manufacturing line and only a few extant cars, orders tallied over 1,100 by the time of the 1905 New York Auto Show
