The Town Hall and Clock Tower in the village of Nimborio on the Greek Island of Halki (Chalki). The clock does not work any more. Halki is a small yet very charming island, part of the Dodecanese Group of Greek islands, situated opposite the west coast of the Island of Rhodes. The Guildhall in Berwick-upon-Tweed (the northernmost town in England), Northumberland, England. Built in the 1750s, it is possibly the town's most handsome building, facing and dominating broad Marygate. Of rich brown stone in a Classical design, it has a grand portico with giant Tuscan columns and a tall spire. The bells ring for Holy Trinity Church as well as the curfew. The top floor used to be a jail and prisoners were aired on the balcony round the roof. The 316 foot high Clock Tower is the world's largest four-faced, chiming clock. The structure completed between 1858-59 is situated at the north-eastern end of the Houses of Parliament in Westminster, London. It is often colloquially referred to as Big Ben, which is actually the nickname of the main bell housed within the tower (formally known as the Great Bell). The bell weighing over 13 tons, was cast in 1858 at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in East London. To this day one of the largest bells they have ever cast. The Whitechapel Bell Foundry also cast the Liberty Bell, along with hand bells, tower bells, clock bells, carillons, and turret bells for all over the world. In the centre of Birnam, Perthshire, Scotland, is St Mary's Church, complete with its clock tower. The church was built in 1858 and is set in its own well cared for churchyard. The clock tower was added in 1883. Windows in the church are by a number of different designers, including William Morris. Situated on the banks of the River Tay, the conservation village of Birnam is home to the Birnam Oak, the last remaining example of Birnam Wood so famous from Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
