Description: The third generation Pontiac Firebird was introduced in late 1981 by Pontiac, alongside its bow tie cousin, for the 1982 model year. These were the first Firebirds available with factory fuel injection, four-speed automatic transmissions, five-speed manual transmissions, four-cylinder engines, 16-inch wheels, and hatchback bodies. The 3rd Generation of Firebirds consisted of three models: Firebird, Firebird S/E, and Firebird Trans Am. The Firebird was the base model, the Firebird S/E was the luxury version, and the Trans Am was the high-performance version. For 1982, the new Firebird had been completely restyled, with the windshield slope set at a dramatic, more aerodynamic 62 degrees and flush mounted side glass.
Description: The first gen Firebird went on sale February 23, 1967 with five different engine options offered, each with slightly different trim levels. The highest performing model in 1967 was the Firebird 400 that came with a very respectable (for the time) 325 horsepower. Pontiac started out strong in the sales department that first year, and while total production of 82,560 was the lowest of any pony car that year (except the Plymouth Barracuda), it should be noted that sales didn’t begin until mid-season.

Description: The 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge was evidence that muscle cars could reflect the cultural currents of their time. In most circumstances, a judge commands respect. But society in the 1960s grew increasingly irreverent toward establishment figures, and "Here comes da judge!" quickly went from a sardonic catchphrase on TV's Laugh-In to a staple of the American lexicon. In naming the newest GTO incarnation "The Judge," Pontiac seemed to be saying: "This car has authority, but like the Road Runner and its ilk, it doesn't take itself too seriously." Abundantly powerful V-8s secured the first part of the message; op-art graphics and bright primary colors brought home the second.
Description: With hopes of breaking the Big Two’s lock, Plymouth hired Dan Gurney’s All American Racers in Santa Ana, Calif., to build a Trans-Am ‘Cuda. It was more than competitive, winning it’s fair share of races. For 1970, Plymouth decided to honor those achievements on the track with a dealer-only street car option called the AAR, which stands for All-American Racers. The result was the 1970 Plymouth AAR ‘Cuda, Plymouth’s factory built race car. Has there ever been a more in-your-face vehicle built in North America? Three carburetors, fiberglass hood and spoiler, side exit exhaust and eye popping graphics made the Plymouth AAR ‘Cuda impossible to ignore.
