"The asura are a race of diminutive artisans who secretly dwelt below-ground for thousands of years until the minions of the Great Destroyer forced them out of their underground homes in 1078 AE. Since then, they have adapted to surface life and quickly established themselves as one of the most powerful races in Tyria. "

This is a photographic overlay of presidential candidate Donald Trump. I use an overlay technique to represent a different vantage point on the built environment, one that merges multiple instances of the same object, incorporating the element of time. The images seem to find the average, mean, or essence of the subject, by emphasizing only the repetitive elements. Using more than 30 layers in each image, I aim to capture an icon in the way people's memory works - a collection of various fleeting images recalled as one.

In 1973 Rosenhan and his pals conducted a number of psychological experiments to determine the validity of diagnosis of mental patients. They sent participants to various mental hospitals who all complained of the same symptoms, (hearing voices). None of them were actually insane but all were diagnosed with schizophrenia. All were admitted and made to take anti-psychotic drugs. They then behaved normally and said they no longer had symptoms. There were released but were charged with continuing to take medication and were diagnosed with their condition in remission. The study showed that there appeared to be no way for the doctors to tell the genuinely insane from the sane when diagnosing their condition. Concerned the mental institutions asked form more people to be sent so they could improve their diagnosis process and detect the impostors. Following the request they identified lots of people they suspected of being impostors and reported back to Rosenhan their findings. In response Rosenhan told them he had sent no one!

Parents don't give their kids, and especially babies, enough credit. They are much smarter than we think. They're testing new theories all the time, and we usually get in their way. Like when the let their drool hang down from their chin while sitting in a high chair. They are just experimenting. The next time you see a baby doing something that seems ridiculous, just know that they're hard at work trying to become the next great scientist!

Schrödinger’s Cat... Is it dead? Is it alive? That's the argument that ensues, that upon opening the box, both observer and the dead-and-alive cat now split into two realities. One reality, where the observer sees said dead cat, and another, where it's alive. What do you have to lose then? When you can choose and handpick your own reality, steer destiny in whichever direction as you please? The spoon exists only in the Matrix, which really means it doesn't exist, right?

For Students of psychology this might make you laugh. This is a play on the famous experiment conducted my Milgram and his colleagues involving subjects electrocuting someone in an adjacent room under the instruction of an authority figure. Even though the person being shocked was screaming in pain the subject was asked to continue shocking the person. If the experiment was genuine and not a setup most subjects would have killed the person they shocked. Worrying results!
