Gauguin Phone Cases - iPhone and Android
Description: Gauguin aka the Artist Who Started as a Stock Broker Little fun fact: Gauguin was just 5’4 (162 cm) tall. The beginning of his career wasn’t in art, but in finance. He was working as a stock broker for a while, before going into art, to the disdain of his wife and her family. All of this was happening in the 19th century. Gauguin was born in 1848 and died in 1903, on the morning of 8th May, probably due to a morphine overdose. He took medicine called Laudanum against his illness - he was often ill. Like many artists he did not reach fame throughout his lifetime. It was only after he died that he was recognized as an important artist, who has had influence on Picasso and Henri Matisse.
