Description: Oars propped up and ready on a landing stage at Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire. This could be called the 'home of rowing' as it is here each july that the world-famous Henley Royal Regatta takes place. This image was captured as preparations for the event were in progress. The races are run between Temple Island and a finishiung line just downstream of Henley Bridge - a distance of 1 mile 550 yards.
