Shotz is said to be a nod to Schlitz, the Milwaukee brewery that was founded in 1849. The Laverne & Shirley series ran for eight seasons January 27, 1976, to May 10, 1983.

Description: The Walter Brewing Company had several locations founded by brothers, one in Pueblo, Colorado in 1898 by Martin Walter, with addition of a Trinidad, CO location, The Walter Brewing Co. in Eau Claire founded in 1889 by Johannes Walter following a catastrophic fire in his first Spencer, WI facility and a move to Eau Claire, Appleton Brewing Company by George Walter, West Bend Lithia by Martin Walter, and Walter Bros of Menasha, WI. Their famous Pueblo Brewery had changed hands at least sixteen times in the thirty years before Walter's was founded.

Description: With a name giving a nod to the American flag, it seems appropriate that Red White & Blue Beer (RWB) was first introduced in 1899, just in time for the 4th of July weekend. Early ad campaigns extolled the beer’s mellow taste, drinkability, and low price point, the one that got plenty of mileage out of their “honest beer for an honest price” slogan. The patriotic themed cans and rock bottom price point made RWB a hit right out the gate, and while prohibition briefly killed the brew in 1920, it was resurrected with the 1933 repeal, and didn't miss a beat. RWB picked up where they left off and continued on to become a favorite working man's beer in the '50s and '60s, and continued to be brewed well into the '90s before finally fading away.

Blatz beer is currently produced by the Miller Brewing Company of Milwaukee, under contract for Pabst Brewing Company. Johann Braun opened City Brewery in 1846. Valentin Blatz established a brewery next door in 1850 and merged both breweries upon Braun's death in 1852. In that year, Valentin's little brewery produced 350 barrels of lager. That beer was for local consumption only, due to short shelf-life. In 1868 Blatz's brewery produced 16,000 barrels.
