Description: Part 4 of my psychology designs, Schrodinger, Milgram, Zimbardo and now Pavlov. Pavlov was a Russian Psychologist who is most noted for his work with dogs. He came up with the theory of Classical conditioning (also known as Pavlovian or respondent conditioning) it’s a learning process in which an innate response to a potent stimulus comes to be elicited in response to a previously neutral stimulus; this is achieved by repeated pairings of the neutral stimulus with the potent stimulus. He discovered that if he rang a bell every time he fed his dog, then eventually his dog would start salivating at the sound of a bell, whether or not there was food present.
