Many of you may remember the privy or outhouse at the cottage or farm A flashlight or lantern would help with tricky footing and light up the inside. We had these at camp in Minden, Ontario growing up and at the cottage too. They are still in use in rural areas and cottage country and on islands. And many Vintage old buildings still standing as a tribute to days gone by. Fun whimsical art from my imagination. I originally submitted this as a "painting" because it is. An old fashioned outhouse in the woods. This outhouse even comes with a chair in case there is a waiting line.

This outhouse was actually used by my grandma until her death in 2007. She lived on this farm her whole life. Her father built the house, barn and all of the outbuildings. She was an amazing, strong, resilient woman!
