Description: While politically a part of Yemen, which is Asian, geographically, Socotra is located in Africa and is one of the most isolated landforms on Earth. The island is so isolated, that a 37% of its plant life and 90% of its reptile species cannot be found anywhere else on the planet. The geological isolation and fierce heat and drought have created unique and spectacular flora, which also form the perfect habitat for endemic species like the iconic dragon's blood trees. In recognition of Socotra's importance, the island was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008. This adventure traveler souvenir style design says 'Socotra' at the top, followed by 'Nature Sanctuary' and 'home of the dragon's blood trees' below, followed by the Yemeni eagle.
