Juggerhead was the code-name of the Imperial-owned naval yards at Bestine IV which were the secret site of research and development on the TIE torpedo. Bestine IV was chosen by the Galactic Empire as the site of new, high-security naval shipyards in 3 BBY. Unlike most naval yards, this was to be located directly on the water of Bestine instead of in a zero-gravity environment. Although the shipyard to all outward appearances manufactured shells for Acclamator-class assault ships, it was in reality conducting research and development on the TIE torpedo.

The Shadow Collective was a criminal alliance founded during the Clone Wars by Darth Maul at the behest of Mother Talzin. Among its goals, it sought to defeat both the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Galactic Republic. During the war, Maul rallied the forces of Death Watch, Black Sun, the Pyke Syndicate, the Hutt Clan, and the Nightbrothers to form a base of power. The Shadow Collective worked alongside Maul as he enacted a plan of revenge against Darth Sidious, but began to fragment after the Hutts abandoned him, with the Pykes and Black Sun severing ties following their defeat at the hands of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The spice mines of Kessel, known as the Dark to veteran miners, were a series of labor camps on the planet Kessel, where slaves from various species, Wookiees among them, were forced to mine a medicinal spice mineral into a dangerous drug. Spice mining was extremely dangerous, and slaves were thus used as expendable labor. Life expectancy for humanoid species was two to three years, while Wookiees had an expected survival time of three months. The Yaruba Family of Kessel turned a blind eye to the harvesting of spice on their world, living in luxurious sanctuaries in the southern hemisphere of the planet, while the spice mining took place in the northern hemisphere.

Biscuit Baron was a dining establishment owned by the House of Tagge through the Tagge Company's subsidiary Tagge Restaurant Association. With stores located on several planets throughout the galaxy, Biscuit Baron was, by the time of the Galactic Empire's prominence, the largest restaurant chain in existence. Sullust possessed one such establishment, as did Byblos Starport, Coruscant, and Commenor. Among the foodstuffs sold was the Bantha Breakfast Biscuit, its signature blue sauce, the alcoholic beverage ardees, and meal offers such as a QuickSnack, QuickSnackLite, and Jolly Meal.

Bolzi Design & Transmogrification was an architectural firm managed by members of the Ugor species. In 84 BBY, the company built the luxury ports for the space station known as the Wheel, incorporating morphometric technology in its system, which represented a great scientific achievement at the time.

The Naos III Mercantile was a moonwide business enterprise that also served as the de facto government of Naos III. It controlled Naos sharptooth fishing and trade and held a virtual monopoly on most if not all stores, cantinas, and hotels on the moon.

The store sold collectibles such as kyber bricks. Its employees included Gonker, who powered the door of Gonk-Stores Paradise, and a cashier at Gonk-Stores Paradise. The company employed both of them by the year 0 BBY. The company had a gonk loyalty card program, which involved collecting gonk stamps in order to receive benefits such as a free gonk-sicle.

The Daa Corporation was a company founded by Dylanto Daa. When a temple was discovered on Ontotho, the Ontothon government agreed to let the Daa Corporation help with its exploration.

Corazon Industries was a company in operation during the Galactic Civil War. Sabel Axis Corazon inherited the company after her father, the founder of the company, was murdered by members of a rival corporation.

Cularin SpaceNav was a company that operated in the Cularin system during the waning years of the Galactic Republic. Cularin SpaceNav maintained and analyzed live data about safe shipping routes through the Cularin comet cloud. Most of the data was supplied by the Comet Broom Service and was used by shipping. During the time of the Clone Wars, the Dark Jedi Garth Ezzar had an inaccuracy placed in some of the data supplied to Cularin SpaceNav by Comet Broom. The freighter Fricasseed Nerf was supplied with the faulty navigational data by SpaceNav and as a result, collided with a comet fragment.

Rendili StarDrive was a starship-manufacturing company based on the planet Rendili. One of the ancient Founding Shipwrights, it was the primary supplier of ships to the Republic Navy for millennia until it was eclipsed in the final centuries of the Galactic Republic by Kuat Drive Yards. StarDrive was associated with companies such as Rendili Vehicle Corporation, Rendili/Vaufthau Shipyards LTD., and Rendili-Surron. Rendili Star Systems was apparently a subsidiary of Rendili StarDrive.

The Hast Shipyards were a major New Republic shipyard and repair center at the planet Hast which specialized in repairing damaged warships for combat duty. The yards were maintained as a secret yard for high-profile projects. The Hast Shipyards were chosen for a major refit and repair for the New Republic Imperial-class Star Destroyers Emancipator and Liberator. However, Imperial agents discovered the location of the shipyards. Shortly thereafter, a large Imperial fleet attacked the yards. It inflicted severe damage: besides heavy damage to the pair of Star Destroyers, twenty corvettes, five frigates, and seven MC80 Star Cruisers were put out of commission.
