Description: It is often thought that 'Rocket' was the first steam locomotive ever built, but this is not the case. It was built in 1829 and was the most advanced steam locomotive at the time, bringing together several innovations that made it stand out at the Rainhill Trials. Rocket is therefore famous as it it took a big leap forward with locomotive technology. If someone see you with this design, you'll be able to tell them all about it when they inevitably tell you that they recognise 'Rocket' as the first steam locomotive ever built (which was incidentally built by Richard Trevithick in the early 1800s).
