Things change, Cluttercore is the new aesthetic home decor movement. Clutter Core is the opposite of Minimalism, a maximalism in designing your space with stuff, a bit hippie, a bit bohemian. This is one of a pair of complementary patchwork pattern works. I had so much fun today playing with color & pattern.

I've been exploring a variety of styles lately, I guess it was inevitable that they would eventually get mixed up together. This is the second of two colorways. > An impressionistic style painted pattern of pink, red and white colored hibiscus flowers combined with hand drawn & painted doodle patterns against a soft blue background.

A softer, pretty purple version of my recent Art Deco Lotus / lily pattern.

A pattern created from hand painted watercolor elements in classic blue and off white.

A pattern created from illustrations of apples, pears and leaves, hand drawn with colored pencil crayons.

So, this is colorway number two. This is my favourite of the two, what do you think? (Though I probably won't be able to stop at just two. Playing with the colours is the best part!) Hand drawn with graphite pencil, scanned, coloured and finished up in Photoshop. A continuation of my infatuation with doodling, florals & Moroccan patterns.

I began this with a black ink pen and a piece of paper. Getting to this end result was a lovely, two day long journey of playing with colours and possibilities. I can't remember which way I went but I like where I ended up... (One of three colorways.) A decorative, Art Nouveau style pattern of flowers, leaves, tendrils and paisley.
