Description: From 1959 to 1962 the airline provided direct and indirect support to US Special Forces "Ambidextrous", "Hotfoot", and "White Star", which trained the regular Royal Laotian armed forces. After 1962 a similar operation known as Project 404 fielded numerous US Army attachés (ARMA) and air attachés (AIRA) to the US embassy in Vientiane. From 1962 to 1975, Air America inserted and extracted US personnel, provided logistical support to the Royal Lao Army, the Hmong Army under command of Royal Lao Army Major General Vang Pao, and combatant Thai volunteer forces, transported refugees, and flew photo reconnaissance missions that provided intelligence on NLF activities.

On either side of the frame are stylized white wings. Below this, the word "Sparks!" is written in a script font with radiating lines. A website "KEVINCARON.COM" is at the bottom.
Description: "American White Pelican Wings Open Wide" It was October, and the migrating American White Pelicans were arriving in South Texas. They were coming in one after another, and making gentle landings with their wings open wide for braking. Captured from a boardwalk over the wetlands along the Nature Trail in Port Aransas, Texas, mid-autumn. ©Debra Martz, All Rights Reserved In My Collection: “Feathered Friends” 20251017-DSC_9170 AI Text: A pelican stretches its wings wide as it gracefully lands on a shimmering water surface. Another pelican glides serenely in the background.
