designed and sold by fatbastardshirts
The Mark V diving helmet is the classical helmet that everyone thinks about when they envision a diving helmet. In 1912 the US Navy assigned a diver, Gunner George D. Stillson to research, design, test, and evaluate diving equipment and procedures. This research led to the Mark V being produced in 1916 through 1984. The helmet was produced by 4 companies, one of which being the Miller Dunn Company of Miami FL. Learn more about the unique history at the Thousand Fathoms website.
