Decaisnea fargesii - Dead Man's Fingers Pin

Decaisnea, known commonly as dead man's fingers, blue bean plant or blue sausage fruit, is a genus of flowering plant in the family Lardizabalaceae. It is native to eastern Asia, from China west to Nepal and south to Myanmar. This is a photograph of some of the first fruit on a specimen of this plant growing in my orchard in the West of Ireland. I've uploaded the image primarily for the "An Oddity in Your Backyard" challenge in the "BACKYARD MACRO AND CLOSEUPS" group because the steel blue fruit are definitely an oddity.
