Wash-off husky Pin

Intimately linked to the world of animal biology, my work in illustration allows me to combine my two passions; art and science. I currently favor the technique of "wash-off" which consists essentially of painting with white gouache the places of "reserve" where is the light, to cover the black ink paper support, to let it dry, then literally wash it under water. What appears suddenly is a bit like the step of revealing a photo negative; the representation I had imagined in negative (white gouache) suddenly appears every time the water "washes" the gouache and the ink. This technique allows me to give free rein to the creative process and allows me to get closer to some form of automatism.
