This exceptional design was created from an actual button that was recovered while metal detecting by a very good friend of mine Alex M. of CT and restored by Leonard S. of Virginia. This button is extremely rare and the particular one that this design is based on is probably one of the finest examples in existence. Although the button has Scottish undertones, patriots fighting for their freedom would have appreciated the themes and worn this button with great pride as they resisted against the English crown as the Jacobites had done in Scotland 30 plus years prior.
