One of the most recognized and recognizable semi-automatic rifles in the world's history, the British Pattern 1914 Enfield. It proved its high effeciency during World War 1, World War 2 and afterwards.

Founded as the Dodge Brothers Company by brothers Horace Elgin Dodge and John Francis Dodge in the early 1900s, the brother's machine shop was originally a supplier of parts and assemblies to Detroit automakers. They began building complete automobiles as Dodge Brothers Motor Vehicles in 1914. Their factory in Hamtramck, Michigan, a small city surrounded by Detroit, was the main factory from 1910 until it closed in January 1980. The brothers both died in 1920 and their families eventually sold the company to Dillon, Read & Co. in 1925. The original logo was a circle, with two Greek deltas intertwined, forming a six-pointed star with an interlocked "DB" at the center, and the words "Dodge Brothers Motor Vehicles" encircled the outside edge.

The Toronto Hockey Club, known as the Torontos and the Toronto Blueshirts, was a professional ice hockey team based in Toronto. They were a member of the National Hockey Association (NHA). The club was founded in 1911 and began operations in 1912. The club won its sole Stanley Cup championship in 1914.

The Baltimore Terrapins were one of the most successful teams in the short-lived Federal League of professional baseball from 1914 to 1915. The team played its home games at Terrapin Park. The new club chose to call itself the Baltimore Terrapins, after the diamondback terrapin, the state reptile of Maryland. That nickname would later become primarily associated with the University of Maryland, College Park sports teams called the Maryland Terrapins.

Portland Rosebuds was the name of two professional men's ice hockey teams in Portland, Oregon. Both teams played their home games at the Portland Ice Arena. The first Rosebuds played in the Pacific Coast Hockey Association from 1914 to 1918. The second Rosebuds The second Rosebuds team was born when the Regina Capitals moved to Portland for the 1925–26 WHL season.
