One of the most famous aircraft of WW2, the Avro Lancaster was the star of the post war Dam Busters film. Over 7,000 of the bomber were built and used by the RAF during the Second World War and some examples were later converted to the Avro York which my father, along with many others, flew during the Berlin Airlift delivering much needed supplies to the post war civilians in Berlin.

Vulcan B Mk2 XH558 first flew on 1 July 1960 and was the first B Mk2 to be delivered to the RAF. She was also the last Vulcan to leave RAF Service on 23 March 1993. The last flying Avro Vulcan B2 XH588 (or Hawker Siddeley Vulcan) flies into the setting sun and sunset. This was a delta wing subsonic jet strategic bomber operated by the Royal Air Force 1953 to 1984, popular at airshows.
