Nose Art from famous B-17G Flying Fortress 'Nine-O-Nine'. Built in 1943, Nine-O-Nine's name came from her serial number, the last three digits of which were 909. She survived 140 combat missions, 21 engine changes and substantial flak damage, never losing a crewman as a casualty during her service in World War 2. Unfortunately Nine-O-Nine was scrapped after WW2 ended. 909 Apparel is named in honour of this mighty aircraft.

Escorting her home are two B17s that have dropped back in support. This is my digital depiction using photographs of the only European flying B-17 Sally-B. It’s based on photographs of B-17s that made it home with flack damage that were beyond belief!
