Description: A banshee is a female spirit from Irish folklore, believed to be an omen of death. Banshees are said to wail or scream in a mournful, high-pitched voice, often heard at night or around the time of a person's death. They are associated with specific Irish families or clans and are believed to only appear when a member of the family is about to die.
Description: While other Banshees in her family are heralds of the death of a family member or loved one...Liz found this job to be rather monotonous and gloomy. Longing to do something more exciting with her shrieking and keening skills, she joined DreaDCorp, and never looked back! You may not always see her, but when you feel a cold chill up your spine, she's probably there. And if you listen closely, you can hear her mournful wails echoing across the moors of Drea's social media!
Description: The banshee (bean sí in Irish) is a ghoulish figure from ancient Celtic fairy lore. She is said to appear as an omen of death, wailing and crying outside of the home for a loved one in the house who is soon to die. She is a pretty terrifying figure. Legend has it that the banshee only wails for five different Irish families. I am a descendant of one of those five families, so I felt compelled to portray this wailing wench in all her spooky glory!
