Description: Established in 1960, Tower Records was once a retail powerhouse with two hundred stores in thirty countries across five continents. From humble beginnings in a small-town drugstore, Tower eventually became the heart and soul of the music world, and a powerful force in the music industry. In 1999, Tower made a cool $1 billion, yet in 2006 the company filed for bankruptcy before slowly disintegrating before our collective eyes. This design is from the 30-year anniversary celebration of the iconic Sunset Strip location, which opened in 1971 on the northwest corner of Sunset Boulevard and Horn Avenue in West Hollywood. Description: Baywatch debuted in 1989, but was cancelled after only one season, when it placed 73rd out of 103 shows in the seasonal ratings. Feeling the series still had potential, The Hoff, one of the principal actors, along with creators and executive producers, revived it for the first-run syndication market in 1991. The series went on to be hugely successful, especially internationally. The show was an action drama about lifeguards who patrol the beaches of Los Angeles County, California, and focused on both professional and personal challenges faced by the characters, portrayed by a large rotating ensemble cast.
