This pair of Percheron draft horses are pulling a carriage, filled with tourist, to see the beautiful downtown and historic distinct of Wilmington, North Carolina USA. The Percheron is a Draft Horse or Heavy horse. The Draft horse is also known as Dray Horse. 'Dray' is a word derived from the Anglo-Saxon term for 'to haul' or 'to draw'. Draft horses are large and hardy, much heavier and broader than the light horses. The breeds in this horse class are referred to as cold blood breeds, in reference to their quiet and calm temperament. They are heavy in the body and strong legged. New Yorker Hank Soloff opened The Coach and Six in 1962 as what many consider to be the first fine dining establishment in Atlanta. It was known for the celebrities, the cheese toast and the shrimp scampi, but all told, the entire menu was exquisite, and you couldn't go wrong with a night at The Coach and Six. Hank’s wife, Beverlee, operated The Coach and Six after he died unexpectedly in 1974. The restaurant changed hands a few times, but in 1997 it closed for good after the building was sold, and yet, even decades later, Atlantans still reminisce about how unbelievably good the place was. From first dates and prom night dinners to anniversary celebrations and places to propose, The Coach and Six was THE place to go.

GDSF 2015 - Stanley Steam Car Number of views as of 16th April 2018 = 520. This Stanley EX, 10 horse-power steam car, built in 1907, is still capable of quite a turn of speed, and is seen here being put through its paces at the Great Dorset Steam Fair at Tarrant Hinton, near Blandford, Dorset, England. This car is one of only three in the United Kingdom and one of only 31 in the world. The Stanley Motor Carriage Company was based in Newton, Massachusetts in the United States and manufactured steam powered vehicles including this one between 1902 and 1924. The company was founded by twin brothers Francis and Freelan Stanley, who produced their first car in 1897. Date: 5th September 2015.
