Dragons have always fascinated me. However, in recent months, they have really become my muse in my art.

The Chinese phoenix or fenghuang is a Chinese mythological bird that reigns over other birds. The males are called feng, while the females are called huang.

This design is for babies born between February 12, 2021 and January 31, 2022 who will have the Chinese zodiac sign of the ox. This cute zodiac Ox by Mozartini has the Chinese word that means "Ox" or "Bull" as a marking on his rump.

I orginaly made this design to go with my chinese zodiac animals, but Cobra with lotus flower is a cool design for anyone who is a fan of snakes and reptiles regardless of your actual birth sign!

This is a traditionally Chinese ornament with a dragon and clouds.The dragon is the highest ranking animal in the Chinese animal hierarchy. It also represents a state symbol that is an emperor's role.

Xingyin, the daughter of the Moon Goddess Chang'e. I fell in love with this beautiful book and had to draw Xingyin gazing at the moon, her home. What is your favourite book?

The last two illustrations in this series (grape and pomegranate) were very ancient-greeky so I wanted to do something more international and with more pop-culture associations, so I picked: Orange! In the far east, the orange is a symbol of the sun. They are a symbol of good luck and fertility. The orange is rare among trees for its ability to have both flowers and fruit on a branch at once, leading to associations with both virginity and fertility combined; to this end, it is a traditional symbol of brides in China. I chose a qipao dress for this orangey bride, though I did add a big slit up the side so she could get her leg out for more tattoos. There’s so many orange references in this pic, I thought I’d just straight up ...

My third colour version of this hand drawn Chinese dragon this time with a mix of red colours. This design was originally hand drawn by me on paper with pencil when I was 16. I recently updated it and created it into a digital image and added in the colours. Also comes in blue and green colours (see my other designs). I love dragons!

There's a legend about the Yellow River in China. A Koi fish undertook the perilous journey to swim up the river. Eventually, the fish came to a waterfall. It took many tries, but the fish eventually managed to swim up the waterfall. As soon as it did, the fish was transformed into a great golden dragon. This is my take on that legend

The dragon and phoenix are important supernatural creatures in Chinese mythology, symbolizing yang and yin, man and woman, emperor and empress, etc... They are very auspicious symbols of success, harmony and happiness, particularly in marriage.
